In addition to the fixed controls indicated on the official website, the Organization may place “surprise” controls of passage or material at any point along the route.

Each participant is obliged to attend to the requests and questions of any commissaire, doctor, nurse or person in charge of refreshments, whether at the stipulated checkpoints or at any other point along the course.

Likewise, it is forbidden to be accompanied by other people who are not registered participants in the race.

At each refreshment point there will be a specific closing time, being an indispensable requirement to pass before the established closing time in order to continue in the race.

Each refreshment post will have food and beverages that will vary depending on the kilometer where it is located. Food and beverages must be consumed at the refreshment post itself in sufficient quantity to ensure sufficient energy reserves to reach the next one, except for water, which can also be loaded in the tanks and reservoirs carried by the runner.

The race bib must be worn in order to use the refreshment area.

In the finish line area of Pradollano, all participants will have an area equipped with hot food, medical service, etc..

Art.9 EXIT

The race will have a single starting box so that all participants will start at the same time.

The first kilometers of the urban section will be neutralized and the motorcycles will not be able to overtake at any time with the red flag of the Guardia Civil de Tráfico.

Art.10 SAFETY CAPSULE

The test takes place in closed traffic at the passage of the safety capsule marked by the GC of Traffic.

The safety capsule is 3 km wide from the head of the race and is marked by a red flag at the head and a green flag at the tail.

Any participant who is overtaken by the green flag, will be out of the safety capsule and therefore, will run in open traffic, having to respect all the traffic rules under his responsibility.

After the green flag, there will be a vehicle of the organization informing all participants who are overtaken by the green flag that, from that moment, the traffic is open and that they have to circulate with the necessary caution and respecting the rules of traffic circulation.

Participants who remain outside the safety capsule will have their bibs marked with a sticker for their distinction. This sticker will be provided at the next nearest refreshment post after being overtaken by the green flag.

Art.11 AUTHORIZED VEHICLES

The only vehicles allowed to follow the race will be those accredited by the Organization. It is strictly forbidden to follow the runners in any type of motor vehicle or on wheels (skates, bicycles, etc …), being expressly ordered by the Local Police to remove them from the circuit. A broom vehicle will be available at the tail of the race to pick up runners who for some reason do not wish or cannot follow the race, having to get on it or proceed to the abandonment of the race, those runners who are not able to keep the scheduled closing time of control of the activity, after the instructions of any member of the organization.

Art.11 BAG TRANSPORT AND CHECKROOM SERVICE

Each runner will be able to hand in a bag at the checkroom located at the start where he/she will be able to pick it up once the race is over.

This bag will be duly identified with the bib tag provided by the Organization. The runner must hand it in before entering the starting box.

The Organization will not check the condition of the bag or the material inside it, so it will not be liable for any claims for breakage of the bag and/or the material inside it, nor for the loss of the objects it contains. It is therefore recommended that both the bag and the material inside it are not fragile or valuable and that the closure of the bag is well secured to prevent loss in transport.

These teams will be distributed among the different refreshment posts and the runner will be able to request their help or assistance if needed.

All runners will submit to the doctor’s judgment whenever requested by the doctor, being the assessment of the medical team the one that prevails over any other, so the doctors may:

  • Eliminate from the race (by cancelling the race bib) any runner who is deemed unfit to continue.

  • Order the evacuation of any runner they consider to be in danger.

  • Order the hospitalisation of any rider when this is deemed necessary.

Art.13 ABANDONMENTS

Abandonments must be made at the Control Points. If due to an accident or injury the runner is immobilized and cannot reach a checkpoint, he/she will activate the rescue operation by contacting the organization by telephone through the Emergency Mobile Phone number indicated on the race bib.

Once at the refreshment post, the runner will communicate his desire to abandon the race to the person in charge of the refreshment post so that he can cancel his bib and identify him as having withdrawn.

It should be noted that only at the refreshment posts, indicated as points with RETURN CONTROL, there will be means of transport to evacuate runners who abandon the race.

In the event that the retired runner chooses to return by his own means, he must also inform the person in charge of the refreshment post of his abandonment so that he can cancel his bib and identify him as retired, otherwise the Organization will consider him as lost and will activate the rescue alarm.

Art.14 MODIFICATION OF THE ROUTE OR SUSPENSION OF THE RACE

In case of bad weather conditions or force majeure, the Organization reserves the right to suspend, neutralize or modify the time slots and/or the route of the race.
